Almudena Fernández Ortega
She lives and works in Sevilla
Almudena Fernández graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seville, specializing in Conservation and Restoration and in Painting as well.
She has a technical degree in serigraph and in Wall Applied Arts.
In 2017, she received the Málaga Crea Visual Arts Award (Málaga). And she was an artist in residence at La Térmica in Málaga (2017), thanks to the scholarship
given by this institution.
Among her most recent solo exhibitions, the most notable include: El Escondite. Okupart, MAUS Málaga. Málaga (2015); Restos de Humanidad. El Vidaducto,
Córdoba (2014) or El cielo dentro del volcán at La Importadora. Sevilla (2014).

Her biographical experiences emerge in her paintings. Memories hidden in the area between the Sierra of Aracena and the Sierra Norte of Seville, places where her
father worked as miner and beekeeper.
