Klaas Vanhee graduated in Fine Arts from LUCA School of Arts in Ghent (Belgium, 2003), the same institution where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Visual
Arts (specializing in Painting) in 2005. He was a Laureate of the HISK (Ghent, Belgium) in 2015.

Drawing is central to the artistic practice of this Belgian artist. Nevertheless, he combines it with other artistic disciplines, such as sculpture or installation.
Klaas Vanhee stands out because of the expressionist nature of his compositions, which emphasises the immediacy of the medium itself. In his work, imbued by a deep
physicality, we can appreciate his interest in issues as memory and reverberation.
